It’s been 40 years since acclaimed artist Kevin Oxley founded the Hawkesbury Community Arts Workshop at Hawksbury Agricultural College, later part of Western Sydney University.
Over the years, countless artists from every discipline have drawn on Oxley’s vision while making use of facilities and classes offered in this atmospheric setting. Their works, as well as those of Oxley, are brought together to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Hawkesbury Workshop.
This exhibition is on display in the Margaret Whitlam Galleries at the Female Orphan School from 10 November 2018 till 1 February 2019. The Galleries are open each Thursday and Friday from 10-4 pm and on the second Saturday of each month.
