Federalism in the real world: Implications for education
This seminar entitled 'Federalism in the real world: Implications for education' was held on 23 September 2011.
The Hon. Nathan Rees MP, Mary Ann O'Loughlin and Professor Jack Keating explored Australia's current experiences of Federalism across a range of policy areas, as well as emerging approaches, and trends to enlighten our understanding of implications for Australia's education system.

This is the sixth seminar in the series for the 'Federalism in Australian Schooling: Its impact upon quality and equity' research project. Previous seminars have considered how Federalism has impacted on our education structures throughout Australia's history. This seminar not only turns to a consideration of the contemporary environment, but seeks to look at experiences outside the educational realm in an effort to discern potential lessons for federal developments in the educational domain.
