Whitlam Institute Open Day 2016

The 2016 Whitlam Institute Open Day was held on Saturday 9 July, 11:00am - 4:00pm.

Visitors attended a curator tour on the exhibition, The Way of the Reformer: The time of Gough Whitlam, they toured the fully restored Female Orphan School and were able to meet members of the Whitlam Institute Board, including the Hon John Faulkner, Patricia Amphlett and Professor Barney Glover, Vice Chancellor Western Sydney University. Visitors also discovered some of the fascinating objects in the Prime Ministerial Collection.

Whitlam Institute Open Day 2014

The inaugural Whitlam Institute Open Day was held on Saturday 20 September 2014, 10:30am – 2pm.

Visitors explored the historic Female Orphan School and toured this fully restored building. They were able to get behind the scenes and meet our Board, including the Hon John Faulkner, Patricia Amphlett, Nicholas Whitlam and Geoffrey Roberson, and see items from the Whitlam Prime Ministerial Collection, including the original Letter of Dismissal.
