Margaret Whitlam Galleries

Located in the historic Female Orphan School (1813), the Margaret Whitlam Galleries are unique exhibition spaces which host an annual program of visual art and social history exhibitions. The galleries are jointly managed by the Whitlam Institute and the Western Sydney University Art Curator, and are of course named after the late Margaret Whitlam AO, champion of the arts and national treasure.

The Margaret Whitlam Galleries are generally open Thursdays and Fridays from 10am - 4pm, and on the second Saturday of the month - excluding public holidays and long weekends - throughout 2017.

Please visit the Female Orphan School gallery website for information on our current and upcoming exhibitions.
