Limited edition books featuring famous 1972 It's Time speech
The Institute has a limited number of signed books and scrolls available of the Australian Labor Party Policy Speech 1972 – Men and Women of Australia. Only 250 have been produced, and are individually numbered and signed by Mr Whitlam. Both the book and the scroll are beautifully designed, with an introduction written by Graham Freudenberg. This famous speech outlines the vision and ideals of the Whitlam Government and gives direction to the current work of the Whitlam Institute. The speech contains the immortal lines:
"Our program has three great aims: – to promote equality – to involve the people of Australia in the decision-making processes of our land – and to liberate the talents and uplift the horizons of the Australian people."
