It's a great pleasure to be writing to you in this new edition of the Whitlam Institute's It's Time e-mag. While it may have been some while since you've received news from us, I'm delighted to say that the news is all good.
A Whitlam Institute Platform
The Whitlam Institute is pursuing a much more direct and active engagement in Australian public policy. While it is early days, we're already in the development stage of several public policy initiatives.
Men and Women of Australia He's 91
So ran the headline in the Adelaide Advertiser on Wednesday 11th July, Gough Whitlam's 91st Birthday. One of the many headlines that trumpeted the latest achievement of the 'elder statesmen of Australian politics'.
What Matters to young Australians
The Whitlam Institute is offering young people an opportunity to share their views on what it will take to build a better society.
Men and Women of Australia
During Gough Whitlam's 91st birthday celebrations the now former Victorian Premier Steve Bracks launched a beautiful limited edition book entitled Men and Women of Australia. The book commemorates Mr Whitlam's famous 1972 election speech.
