Gough's 92nd birthday - July 11
Gough Whitlam turns 92 on Friday 11 July and we're celebrating the occasion with lunch at the MCA Foundation Hall in Sydney. The celebration will also benefit the Whitlam Institute within the University of Western Sydney.

On Tuesday 29 April, The Whitlam Institute co-hosted with the UWS School of Law a free public forum to discuss the legacy of the Hilton bombing for Australia's current terrorism laws.
Latest addition to the Whitlam Collection
The Whitlam Prime Ministerial Library (PML) continues to grow not just due to Gough Whitlam's generosity in donating more and more of his personal papers, but also due to gifts from the public. Recently the Collection was fortunate to receive a wonderful donation from Mr Eddie White.
What Matters? Essay competition winners - May 7
What Matters 2008 has proved to be a great sucess. Over 850 entries, a record number, poured in from school students across NSW and the ACT.

Several new staff have joined Eric Sidoti, Director and Office Manager, Suzanne Ramirez to take the Institute Program into 2008.
