The Whitlam Institute commissioned UWS Honours student Luis Martinez to produce an oil canvas portrait of the Hon EG Whitlam from a 1974 photograph.
The portrait measuring 125cm (length) x 95cm (width) is for sale for $2,500.
Etchings
In addition to the portrait, Luis Martinez has produced three etchings of the Hon EG Whitlam from various stages of his life.
The etchings capture EG Whitlam as a young, determined member for Werriwa, as Prime Minister of Australia and Statesman.
The etchings, produced as a limited edition of 15 have all been individually signed and are beautifully presented in a chocolate leather portfolio.
