Young Australians writing competition - What Matters? in 2005
Competition closing date now 17 July 2005 What Matters? presented by the Whitlam Institute, The Sun-Herald and the Sydney Morning Herald is an opinion writing competition for students in Years 5-12 in NSW and the ACT. Winners will be presented with awards and a cash prize of $250 by Gough Whitlam and winning essays will be published. We were overwhelmed by more than 1,000 entries last year covering a wide range of social concerns from asylum seekers to poverty, the environment and sportsmanship. Get writing!
