Returning the Parthenon Marbles to Athens
As Prime Minister, Australian Ambassador to Unesco and lobbyist for the Sydney Olympics, the return of the Parthenon Marbles has been a long crusade for E.G. Whitlam. In his latest speech on the subject in London on December 8, Mr. Whitlam explains why the antipodes are at one with Greece on the return of the marbles or sculptures from London to Athens.
