Appropriation Bills (Nos 1 and 2) 1975-76 are introduced into the House of Representatives. Leader of the Federal Opposition Liberal Party Malcolm Fraser argues that the 'Loans Affair' provides the Opposition with the 'reprehensible circumstances' it needs to block passage of the Budget in the Senate. Fraser announces that the Senate will not pass the Appropriation Bills unless the Government agrees to an early election.
