The Whitlam Government, by Gough Whitlam. Published in 1983 by Viking.
The following is a selection of newspaper and magazine articles, journal articles and books to introduce the work of E.G. Whitlam. It is designed to provide a selection of written works from the era of the Whitlam government to introduce students and interested researchers to the man, his work and to the era in which he was the dominant figure in Australian politics.
This bibliography provides a selection of articles from those who admired him but also lists a range of critical writings and ideas from conservative politicians and critics. In all cases we have sought to ensure that the articles are of significance either through the political or intellectual standing of their authors or because of the importance of the work in shaping public opinion or the politics of the time.
